Camping and other stuff

Hi everybody!  I know I haven't posted in awhile and I have no excuse.  I've been getting in my last lazy hours before school starts in A WEEK!  But last weekend was our church campout!  It was TONS of fun! Except for when my mom cut her finger on an industrial sized pudding can and had to go to the ER for 5 stitches!  And then this weekend I went camping with my neighbors, also very fun.  Well.. except for the part where I got stung by a giant wasp... Anyways, we camped by where some of my relatives live, and my mom's cousin, Mark, has a beautiful horse named Porter and a very cute, but naughty donkey named Festus.  I got some fun pictures of them and here they are:

 this one^^^ I'm totally in love with!! He has one beautiful brown eye and one GORGEOUS blue eye :)

A New Little Addition to the Family

One week ago I got a hamster!  On Monday I went to Pet Supplies Plus with my neighbors (aka my second family :p) and my friend Kelsie helped me pick out a hamster.  There were three in one cage and one in another cage (that one was just licking the side of the cage the whole time). I picked out the hamster that was jumping on the side of the cage, and the one that let me hold her.  When we tried to put her into the cage she bit my hand really hard, but I don't blame her, I would bite someone too if they put me in a box for 15 minutes then tried to grab me!  I decided to name her Angel because she has two white spots on her back that look like wings.   We let her settle into her new home for a few days before we tried to hold her.  The first time I tried to hold her (besides at the store) she leaped out of my hands!  but after a few times she wasn't so scared and now she lets me hold her.  She is really sweet and just loves to run in her wheel.  Here are some cute pictures I got of her:

Photography Contest

I held a small photography contest here, as you probably know, and got two entries so i put up a poll so you all could vote on them, and it seems we have a tie!  So i guess you both win!  I dont have any winners buttons or anything for you :( (if u do know how to make buttons please contact me!!!) So congratulations to Ali and Jordin!

What I've been up to

I recently got back from the Higher Ground Music Festival! It was lots of fun!  Unfortunately the only pics I got were of the artists :(  my good friend Angela came along and that just made it 10x more fun! We saw lots of bands and singers including: Jeremy Camp, MercyMe, Kutless, Matthew West, Group 1 Crew, and lots more! For Kutless Angela and I got right up front on the railing!!!  I was sad thought because I didn't get my favorite song on video because my camera died :(

It was really hot the whole weekend and it was really hard because we had no electricity most of the time.  But the last few days we had just enough electricity to run one or two fans.  It only stormed once, right in the middle of the Matthew West concert! Angela and I were up front and all the sudden it started pouring!  We were frantically running back to get the chairs and get out of there! I thought my mom was back at the chairs but when we got there she wasn't there.  Thats when I started getting scared.  I thought she was still in the front looking for us.  Angela kept saying "come on! We have to go!" It was crazy because there were so many people running around and it was storming so badly, so finally we got to shelter, and my mom eventually came in.  She had been back at the camper packing everything up for the storm. Everyone was fine but it was really wet.  The rest of the night was fun, we got ice cream and t-shirts, then found a spot for Mercy Me. :)
